The quartz movement of this watch is protected by an anti reflective and scratch resistant sapphire crystal and features a crown that is screwed down. The watch is waterproof up to 30 meters or 99 feet. Gucci’s list price for this timepiece is at $750 but from online retailers this model is available at the more manageable price tag of $450 or lower.

Despite, or perhaps, in spite of the corny ironic name of this Gucci offering this particular piece is very attractive. The understated minimal design makes this a great option for everyday use. It’s sleek and classy without being overly extravagant in its indulgence. The smooth design gives a look of uniformity throughout all parts of the watch allowing the wearer to feel comfortable with this watch for any occasion. The swiss made parts and quartz movement pair well with the Gucci name to suggest both quality and elegance. The 38 mm case and 8 inch bracelet makes it a nice comfortable size without being gaudy and overbearing. The most interesting detail of this particular watch is that its simplicity and manageable size do nothing to take anything away from the its masculinity. This watch is all business with no fuss or fluff but the lack of features undeniably does not lower the value but in fact increases it for the consumer seeking a more casual and therefore more versatile option.

Simplicity is great. In a market where luxurious watch manufacturers tend to focus more on the jewelry aspect of their collection it is refreshing to see Gucci producing watches that are pleasant to look at and wear but are purely functional and therefore practical. The price of this watch reflects that design intention making this a wonderful choice for the man looking for the kind of watch he can wear any day of the week for any sort of occasion. It is appropriate for the office, the opera, or just dining out. This watch could even be worn with a t-shirt and some blue jeans while not looking out of place.
