Gucci Coupé Large Mens Watch YA131301 has the classic, masculine styling that goes with business or casual wear. It is practical, sturdy and sleek. While this fine timepiece is waterproof to 100 meters (330 feet) without the bulk of a sports watch, it is also at home in the boardroom, for a night on the town, or while exercising.

Gucci’s fine visual details include:

• Square-shaped dial with rounded corners.
• Dial face is brown, with mother-of-pearl, and white numbering.
• Hours are graphically marked in bold white, while 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock hours are marked by numerals.
• Watch case and expandable wristband are stainless steel with a brushed finish.
• Wristband has a simple mesh pattern overlaying and reinforcing the stainless steel links.

Gucci Coupe YA131305 May Offer Easier Readability for Some Wearers

Coupe Men's Watch available from Gucci website is very different in visual details

A potential drawback, to this particular YA131301 model of Gucci’s Coupé line, is that the watch face, with its white numbering on brown background, may not offer enough visual contrast for easy readability, at a glance. This could be an issue in low light, or if your eyesight is not 20/20. For stellar readability, with identical features, the YA131305 model, with black and white watch face, may be your preference.

Availability, for either model, may also be an issue. The only American website where I have found the Gucci Coupé Men’s Watch YA131301 available for purchase was at watchesbydesign.com for $895.  However, this is a great deal over the regular retail price of $1050, if you want to go with an online purchase.

Gucci, of course, has a reputation for high-end quality in their fashion merchandise. Perhaps for that reason, this Italian company has looked to Switzerland for the manufacture of this watch. No one does quartz movement timepieces better than the Swiss. They remain unsurpassed in this area.

Gucci’s Official Website, for the U.S. or Canada, interestingly enough, does not list the Coupé Collection of men’s timepieces. Only the U.K. and European Gucci sites display one model from the Coupé Line, with all-white watch face and multi-colored leather strap. Not at all in the same league, in terms of classical style, this model has a distinctively nautical feel, which greatly narrows its appeal.
